What's Going On?

What's Going On?

Very busy at the moment at work which is impacting on everything, but still managing to get some training in for Sugden's Strongest man competition on March 6th
Events are:

Max axle deadlift, rising bar
Bar starts at 250kg, 3 attempts, can skip lifts but miss one and your out. Straps, suits, hitching etc all ok. Will be from normal bar height.

Strength shop Overhead medley
100kg sleeper
120kg log
130kg axel
Inch Dbell(70kg ish)

Tackle them in any order you like. Continentals ok, 2 hand clean on the inch OK. 75 sec time limit.

Southams Monster Medley
Farmers walk 140kg x 20m (will be on farmers handles like the ones jt sells)
Tyre 3 flips
Duck walk 220kg x 20m

75 sec time limit

Mad object carry for distance
Max distance over a 20m course. Object TBC. 75 sec time limit.

Arm over Arm
Will be on a fire engine over a 25m course. 75 sec time limit.

Stones

100,120,140,160,180kg stones to decreasing size platforms. 90 sec time limit.

Been training pretty hard on the fitness side of things with loads of heavy kettlebells swings, presses, double heavy swings and long long farmers walks to get accustomed to PAIN!

Having done my first ever Strongman Comp last November at the Container I realised how much Strongman draws on fitness, hence lots of running with weights and carrying things, all great fun! So with some gains from Adington Barbell Club Competition
I should not embarass myself
Also, aiming on doing a SSST before SSM2 to test my fitness
