How Free is Speech at Sporting Events?: University of Maryland officials have asked the state attorney general for guidance on the issue of whether it can remove or discipline students at basketball games that yell expletives or wear shirts with obscene phrases. Maryland came under fire following its game against Duke two weeks ago, at which students wore "F--- Duke" shirts and chanted "F--- you Reddick" at Duke guard J.J. Reddick.
