Kettlebell Swing Routine
I have been using some of the kettlebell training methods from my previous post regarding powerlifting and kettlebell recently.
Some of the exercises which I have never tried, never even thought about have turned out to be total killers.
This is my workout from yesterday:
Single hand swing between legs
2x12 40kg (left, swap, right)
2x10 48kg (left, swap, right)
2x8 60kg (left, swap, right)
Sumo Swing (Wide sumo style deadlift stance with 2 kettlebells)
4x6 40kg (total 80kg)
Windmill
2x5 40kg (left and right)
Double Kettlebell Sumo swing is a marvelous exercise. I can feel this will transfer directly over into any sport require explosive hip power and great core strength/power. I used 2 40kg's kettlebells and found it pretty tough.
As I also compete in highland games this will be awesome building up power for the weight over bar and caber.
