Old School Strength with Kettlebells
The other week I had a go at several Old School Kettlebell exercises namely the '2 hands anyhow' which lead me on to the double kettlebell clean and heave with a 60kg kettlebell and a 48 kg kettlebell. Total of 108kg's.
Over the past few months I have had several failed attempts at the 108kg kettlebell clean so was truly pleased to be able to clean and heave overhead 5 times.
The clean itself was possible due to many weeks of intense kettlebell snatching and many double kettlebell swings, so I found the clean came quite easy but definitely was not something I expected do immediately despite the little voice in the back of my mind telling me I'd done enough to make it happen.
It's the type of thing that has come to me through training something else and not the specific thing you were trying to do which is a nice little tip.....
When you plant the seed, don't keep digging it up to see if it's grown, allow it to grow naturally and when you see it for the first time it will be a nice but expected suprise.
So here it is:
Double KB Clean and Heave 108kg
As I have been a little ill this week I have not yet had another crack at the 6min VO2max Kettlebell test with the 24kg, I plan to crack this at the weekend as I'm feeling much better now. Will post my findings and results soon
