VO2 Max Kettlebells

VO2 Max Kettlebells

Come tommorrow I will be starting a couble of VO2 Max Kettlebell sessions per week in the style of 'Rif'

I've made the decision to 'go lighter' for a while to allow my body to recover from all the hammering I've been giving myself with the heavy kettlebells.

I'm looking forward to the definite buzz that VO2 Max training gives you, I would go as far to say a 'high' that VO2MAX training gives you.

But I hear you say 'but Rob your a fat lad and when have you ever done VO2 Training?'..... well it's only about 4 years since I was pretty hot on the Concept2 Indoor rower with a personal best of 6 mins 7 secs for 2000m (Also 3rd place in North England Champs). I also completed a 100,000m row in 7 hours and 1 min 3 secs.

So, having visited rifsblog quite frequently recently I decided to challenge myself with some VO2MAX training. Very similar to my concept2 days when I would do loads of 20 on 20 off training 30:30 60:60 and lots of tabata style torture training. I really feel this kind of training cleans your whole system out and really re charges your batteries.

Seeing how Rif and the gang are progressing I'll be following for a while

If you're unsure of how VO2max kettlebell training works check out this fine article here

So.... here we go
