Brutal Minimalist Fitness
Intrigued by David Whitley RKC's training style I had a bit of a crack at some serious kettlebell snatching last night. Well, very similar to BMF training.
As I'm not used to anything lighter than a 32kg at the moment I dug out my 16kg kettlebell and managed 300 snatches (10 left change 10 right and so on)I had more in the tank which I will use up next time around (good excuse). It was a great workout that got me sweating profusely and pumped me up like a football.
With only doing 300 reps without putting the kb down I supposed it should be called Brutal Minimalist Fitness Lite
Check out David's article here and a sample workout below from this article
Brutal Minimalist Fitness (BMF) workout:
TGU- 3-5 sets of 3-5 reps
Swing x 50
Hindu squat x 10
Swing x 40
Hindu squat x 20
Swing x 30
Hindu squat x 30
Swing x 20
Hindu squat x 40
Swing x 10
Hindu squat x 50
Looks like a cracking workout mixing up the bodyweight stuff and kettlebells together and makes for a great kettlebell schedule to add to my portfolio of workouts. Will be giving this workout a try out as an extra chunk of GPP
