Double Kettlebell Exercises
For some kettlebell athletes, double kettlebell exercises may not be an option (single kb training is still up there next to awesome), but if you do have two kettlebells of the same weight then double kettlebel training will fit nicely into your training routine and really improve you strength and fitness capacities.
The Big Daddy of all double kettlebell training is the double kettlebell clean and press or jerk. The clean requires so much more energy and power to get the kettlebells upto your chest ready for the press and hits your core muscles so much harder as you can't bend and twist to make it easier as you can with the single kettlebell. Then the jerk/press phase is very similar as you can't twist to the side or turn your body to gain any benefit. You're basically pinned by the kettlebells.
Most other kettlebell exercises can be utilised to be done as double exercises, swings in and out of the legs are awesome exercises as well as the double kettlebell sumo swing. Double flips are a real challenge as is the double kettlebell snatch.
I find I get a superior core workout when using 2 kettlebells together, check out the video below of the double kettlebell sumo swing.
